Start with the part of the body
Most orthopedic surgeons focus on one area. Knowing which area your injury involves helps you find the right person faster:
- Hand & Wrist — fractures, sprains, tendon and nerve problems in the hand or wrist.
- Shoulder & Elbow — dislocations, rotator cuff and elbow injuries.
- Knee and Hip — ligament injuries, meniscus tears, joint pain.
- Foot & Ankle — ankle fractures, sprains and Achilles injuries.
- Spine — neck and back conditions.
- Sports Medicine — activity-related injuries across several joints.
How to use the directory
Open the Ortho Compass surgeon directory, set your location to Seattle or a nearby area, and choose the specialty that matches your injury. Review the clinic and provider details shown, including availability the clinic has reported and insurance details where the clinic has shared them.
Ortho Compass doesn't book appointments. Call the office directly to ask about scheduling, and confirm insurance coverage with both the office and your insurer.
For referral coordinators
Emergency departments, urgent care, occupational medicine and primary care teams can use the same public directory to identify Seattle-area surgeons by specialty and location, look up office contact information, and share a surgeon's public profile with a patient.
Have imaging already?
If you have X-rays or other imaging and would like surgeons to review your case, Ortho Compass also offers a separate surgeon matching service.
